Coaching for self-awareness, personal development, and integration

You and me, an hour, no table and no hands-on work. In person here in Millcreek, or online.

This is close to what you’d expect from a life coaching session.

What I coach on is self-awareness, personal development, and integration after a medicine experience.

How a session goes

  1. We start with whatever you need to put down

Most people arrive with something from the week that needs saying out loud before anything else can happen. That’s a fine way to begin.

  2. Then we set an intention

What you want to work on today, or what you want to change and what it would take.

  3. We end with one or two action steps, and you choose them

Not homework I assign you. Things you’ve decided are worth practicing between now and the next time we talk.

  4. Then I’ll ask how I can support you

Some people want a check-in partway through the week. Some would rather be left alone with it until the next session. Both are real answers, and you’re the one who knows which is yours.

Coaching alongside bodywork

Some people come in just for coaching. Others start with Integrated Bodywork or Somatic Awareness, and those sessions already carry some coaching in them: before you leave, we’ll land on one or two action steps for you to work on at your own pace.

A coaching session gives that part the whole hour. If something surfaced on the table or in the chair that you want to take further, this is where we decide what you want to do about it. There’s no requirement to book more than one kind of session.

After a medicine experience

Integration coaching

If you’ve had a session with ketamine or another altered-state medicine, under the care of a provider, integration coaching gives you a place to make sense of it afterward.

We look at what surfaced, the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that came up, and what you want to do with them. Like every coaching session, it ends with one or two steps you choose.

Your provider holds the medicine side of your care. I don’t provide or arrange medicine; my part is the coaching that comes after. If you’d like someone in the room during the session itself, I also offer in-session support.

Is this what I’m looking for?

When someone asks me which to book, I ask them this:

Are you looking to create action steps in order to change things that are currently going on in your life? Or are you interested in getting an understanding of how your nervous system and coping mechanisms are wired in your body?

If it’s the first, this is the session. If it’s the second, that’s Somatic Awareness.

Both end with something to practice. The difference is where it points — coaching sends you back out into your life with steps to take, and Somatic Awareness sends you back to your own body with something to notice.

In a client’s words

I’ve worked with Tami as a life coach for the past 4 years, and she has been invaluable in helping navigate through some challenging times. She really helped me learn to recognize and work from a mindset of growth and abundance … She is very real in her communications and connects through personal experiences. You will benefit and grow from any amount of time spent working with her.
