Questions

Frequently asked questions

The practical things people ask before they book.

Choosing a session

Which session should I book?

If you want hands-on work, that’s Integrated Bodywork — all hands-on work is a 90-minute session. If you want to sit and pay attention to what’s happening in your body, that’s Somatic Awareness. If you want to work out what to change in your life and how, that’s Coaching, which also includes integration coaching after a medicine experience with a provider. The Sessions page has a side-by-side comparison.

Do you touch me during the session?

In Integrated Bodywork, yes — it’s hands-on work on the table, and you’re modestly draped throughout. In Somatic Awareness and Coaching, no. Both are seated, with no hands-on work.

What do I wear for a bodywork session?

Whatever is comfortable for you. Most people undress to their undergarments once I step out of the room, then lie on the table between the sheets. If your session is focused on craniosacral work, comfortably fitted clothing is also an option. What matters most is that you feel as comfortable as possible. If you do undress, you’ll be draped the entire session, with only the area I’m working on uncovered.

Online sessions

Do you offer sessions online?

Somatic Awareness and Coaching are both available online over Google Meet. Integrated Bodywork is in person only.

What happens in an online session?

It runs the same way as in person. Headphones help, an eye mask helps for Somatic Awareness, and you’ll want your phone on silent and a room where you won’t be interrupted.
